Questions, answered.
Everything about Trim — how the scan works, what you pay for, and how we handle your data.
What exactly does Trim do?
+
Trim scans your Chrome browser to detect installed extensions, identify duplicates, security risks, and unused tools, then gives you a Clutter Score /100 with AI-powered recommendations on what to remove or keep.
Is my browsing data sent anywhere?
+
No. Trim only reads the list of extensions installed in your browser — never your browsing history, tabs, passwords, or page content. The extension metadata is analyzed to generate your report, then discarded.
What's the difference between Free, One-shot Report, and Pro?
+
Free gives you a basic scan, your Clutter Score, and the top 3 things to fix. The $7 One-shot Report unlocks the full PDF with AI recommendations for every extension and a subscription waste breakdown. Pro ($12/month) adds unlimited scans, weekly clutter alerts, score history tracking, and priority AI analysis.
Is the $7 report a one-time payment?
+
Yes. $7 once, no subscription, no auto-renewal. You get the full report delivered to your email within 2 minutes of payment.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription anytime?
+
Yes. Cancel in one click from your account settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period — no questions asked, no retention calls.
Will Trim work on Brave, Edge, or other Chromium browsers?
+
Trim is built for Chrome first. It works on most Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Edge, Arc, Opera) since they share the same extension system, but we officially support and test Chrome only.
How does the subscription waste breakdown work?
+
We cross-reference your installed extensions against known paid SaaS tools and recurring subscriptions, then estimate how much you may be paying for tools you no longer actively use — based on usage signals and overlap with cheaper or free alternatives.
What if I'm not happy with my report?
+
Email us within 7 days and we'll refund your $7 — no forms, no friction.
Do you store my email?
+
We store your email only to deliver your report and, if you opt in, to send weekly clutter alerts. We never sell or share it. You can request deletion anytime.
How accurate are the AI recommendations?
+
Recommendations are generated by analyzing the official metadata, permissions, and category of each extension against your overall stack. They're meant as guidance — you stay in full control of what to uninstall.
